Reborn Electric Motors, chilean startup dedicated to the manufacturing of electric buses, participated in ChileMass Innovation Day 2023, where the company presented its solution, in addition to delving into the process of remanufacturing vehicles from combustion engines to electric ones.
During the event, the company's general manager, Felipe Cevallos, presented the project to foreign investors with the aim of continuing to grow and looking for active partners.
The activity, happened in different areas of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), in Boston, was carried out in the context of the 200 years of commercial relations between Chile and the United States, where more than 300 attendees gathered, between chileans and americans, in order to enhance the innovation of both countries through the joint story and experience of the various exhibitors.
Reborn was part of Chile Night, an activity carried out at the Cambridge Innovation Center, one of the venues with the highest concentration of startups globally, where presentations by chilean startups such as Bifidice, Quimun, SeQure Quantum and Propio, among others, were also added.
“These spaces are tremendously enriching for all who attend, since through these experiences new partners emerge and we are able to expose the attractiveness of investing in sustainable chilean technology,” commented the co-founder of Reborn Electric Motors, Felipe Cevallos.
In addition, throughout the event organized by the Chile Massachusetts Alliance, topics associated with energy, education, artificial intelligence, aging and projects that promote these different areas were presented.
On the other hand, the co-founder of Reborn Electric Motors, Felipe Cevallos, was also recognized as one of the winners of the Innovators Under 35 Latam 2023 awards.
The innovation consulting firm Opinno and MIT Technology Review en español selected the winners among young people under 35 years of age, who use science and technology to solve urgent issues in Latin America.
Among the representatives of the continent, Cevallos stood out, who was selected in the category of research and studies related to energy and sustainability; and transportation, aimed at improving people's quality of life through the development of Reborn Electric Motors.
