Reborn Electric Motors continues to bet on opening up to the international market and participating in instances that serve as a reference in order to continue on its constant development and in the process of a better service. The SAE BRASIL Symposium on Urban Mobility 2023 brought together various companies that presented their models and experiences in mobility, with the purpose of finding improvements in urban mobility.

During the event, in which the Chilean company Metbus also presented, trends, smart cities and sustainable urban mobility technologies for cargo and passengers were discussed.

On this last point, the co-founder and general manager of Reborn Electric Motors, Felipe Cevallos, who led the presentation of the Chilean brand, pointed out that "as a constantly growing company, we are proud to represent our country on international instances. Our nation is a pole of technological development that day by day advances towards less polluting and environmentally friendly models, so, we will continue working in this line, with a view to decarbonizing the mining operation”.

The executive explained that El Teniente Division project in Rancagua has been carried out since 2020 to date, where Reborn, in coordination with the deposit team, implemented the complete electrification of the transport of personnel who works inside the mine, through the manufacture of 104 electric buses, replacing the diesel models that operated in the area.

In addition, Cevallos referred to the tour they carried out in northern Chile, where REM models were put to test in the Atacama desert (characterized by its low humidity and high temperatures) and open pit mines, obtaining positive results. This translates into a behavior equal to, or better than vehicles that run on internal combustion, in addition to continuing with aspects that characterize REM buses, such as comfort and safety.

It should be noted that the company continues to think and build based on an expansion to new countries. In did, talks are already underway to carry out the first pilot tests of its electric buses in Peru, for example, where it plans to contribute to the mining operation.

Additionally, the brand is working on the development of new transport units that can operate in mining and other geographies that present complex challenges.
