We believe in the power of sustainable transport and renewable energy as an environmental solution. Aware of our opportunities, we decided to embark on the path towards electromobility in 2016.
We saw in electromobility the opportunity to develop as a pioneering company in this technology, and to date, we have positioned ourselves as one of the first electric bus factories in Latin America, electrifying the body and chassis of our models within the national territory. Since 2019, we have formed an alliance with Link+, which, with its 50 years of experience in operating mining buses and our electrical expertise, has empowered us to deliver this innovative proposal to the industry.
We are known for delivering the best of Chilean engineering to electromobility in order to accelerate the decarbonization of transport, giving the Reborn Electric Motors seal to each part of the production line. We have an interdisciplinary team of 70 engineers, administrators, technicians, designers, and journalists who are pioneers in electromobility.
Speed up the move to sustainable mobility through the development of advanced technology.
Being the leading manufacturer of zero-emission vehicles in latin america.
Reborn Electric is founded. A group of engineers from various universities in the country decided to develop an alternative solution for public transportation in Santiago. The first step was to convert a diesel bus to 100% electric.
We received funding from the National Development Corporation CORFO for the development of our electrification kit. The grant was awarded to startups with promising expectations.
We built the first prototype of a mining bus for the company Link Service, where we demonstrated our development capabilities, manufacturing speed, and competitive costs.
Link Service and Reborn Electric form a partnership, giving rise to Reborn Electric Motors, the first Chilean factory for electric buses.
The factory begins its operations, and our Research and Development Center is established.
We inaugurated our factory in Rancagua and the Green Hydrogen Laboratory. We launched our model Queltehue, the first 0-kilometer electric bus manufactured in Chile.
With more than 100 new buses, we electrified the entire fleet operating inside the world's largest underground copper mine.
